It was a Sunday night and I was watching TV eating some chips and salsa. The baby must of not liked the salsa because it was sure kicking and moving around a lot! Two hours later I could not sleep; the first stages of labor had kicked in. After thirteen hours of labor and almost an additional three hours of pushing our new son was born. Samuel Robert was born Monday, May 23, 2005 at 3:28pm. He was a big boy (two pounds bigger then the doctor thought he would be!) weighing nine pounds seven ounces and twenty two inches long. Here are some pictures at the hospital and a few days later.
